The Johnson County Library will host an issues forum entitled Weighing the Options: Encouraging Healthy Weights Among America’s Youth on Thursday, March 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the Central Resource Library, 9875 W. 87th St., Overland Park, KS. Those attending will learn why American children are more overweight today than ever before and that the numbers keep rising.

In this interactive forum, moderated by KC Consensus, participants will examine several approaches to encouraging healthy choices and better futures for our nation’s youth. The discussion of the topic is intended to generate real ideas that individuals can pursue in their lives, schools and communities. Refreshments will be provided.
